Hi, my name is not convexer and this is my garbage site. I created this site
because I wanted a place where I could be my full & terrible self without
worrying too hard about making a positive impression.
Topics of interest include personal shit, gender politics, regular politics,
and the modern workplace. I don’t really proofread my posts, so let me know if
I say anything that’s just wrong.

New domain, new guestbook
New domain: Well folks, I finally decided that this hobby might be worth $5
a month and went out and bought myself a domain:
convexer.name. If you are subscribed by RSS, you may
want to update your subscription to use this URL instead of the Neocities one.
For now, I have a script that pushes site updates to both places, but I probably
won’t keep it up forever, and the .name domain will be the canonical URL used in
the post links and stuff.
Also, sorry if making this change caused your RSS reader to mark all the posts
as unread—this is because of how Hugo populates the post ID as the full URL by
default. I kinda wish Hugo just autogenerated a random UUID to use as each
post’s ID. Probably I can set it up that way with sufficient effort…
New guestbook: One of my life goals for 2025 was to learn to do webdev stuff
beyond static sites. I made a Rails app
guestbook.convexer.name which you can use to
leave public notes, complaints etc. about the blog. I used the rich text field
thing, so you can even attach (small) images to your messages if that’s your
jam. I seeded it with a few example posts
