Silly questions challenge
Cribbed from Mycorrhiza’s blog.
Do you believe in aliens? I think it’s more likely than not, although I don’t really ruminate on this belief very often. Most likely, they are very far away, and/or way behind or ahead of us in civilizational development which would preclude interesting conversations. Or maybe their biology is so different that there’s no way for us to really notice each other—like they can only see radio waves or whatever.
What is a favourite random fact that you know? Turtles make the craziest moaning sound when they, you know. You should look it up on YouTube right now if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
If you were an astronaut going to space, which items would you bring with you? Huh, depends how long, but definitely some reading material and some writing material. I think I would download an offline copy of Wikipedia to my laptop. And one of those scalp massager things. I threw mine away in a recent move and am missing it more than expected.
Would you prefer to only be able to run, or only be able to walk? I run every day, but I don’t really like it, and I really don’t like sweating at inconvenient times, so I choose walk.
What is your favourite letter? Lowercase cursive f.
What is a memorable song that has impacted you in any way? Literally anything by Jason Isbell, but perhaps “Yvette” especially.
What is your favourite celestial body (planets, stars, constellations, galaxies, etc)? Have never really thought about this. I think my astronomy phase was shorter than most boys’. But it’s kinda cool how the North Star just happens to be right there, isn’t it?
